LEND A HAND
We are looking for volunteers, skilled tradespeople, social media/marketing gurus and community members willing to help bring the coop back to life.
When you donate to the General Preservation Fund you help us tackle the most urgent preservation and construction needs as we reactivate the historic coop and prepare the site for its first hens.
100% of your contribution will support preservation and reactivation efforts.
All contributors will be recognized as Founding Preservation Partners.
Contributions are available in increments of $25.
Every contribution earns Founding Heritage Credits which are distributed throughout the first year after the flock arrives, and larger contributions earn additional credits.
Every contribution, regardless of size, helps bring the historic coop back to life.

The historic coop’s aging roof has reached the point where a full replacement is needed to protect the building and prepare it for the return of a working flock. The project is expected to include removal of the existing roofing, repair or replacement of damaged roof decking as needed, and installation of new cedar shingles selected to complement the historic character of the coop.
Sponsorship of the roof restoration will help protect this 1930s structure for years to come while preserving one of its most visible historic features.

The chicken run will serve as the flock’s primary outdoor living space and one of the most visible and interactive areas of Heritage Hen Collective. Designed specifically for the needs of the hens, the fully enclosed run will provide a safe environment for fresh air, natural behaviors, enrichment, exploration, and interaction throughout the year.
For visitors, the chicken run will also be where much of the magic happens. It will serve as the primary space for people to observe and interact with the flock during educational programs, member visits, tours, and community experiences.
Full sponsorship of the Chicken Run will help create a safe, enriching home where our hens can thrive throughout their entire lives—and a welcoming space where our community can experience the flock up close.

The $6,000 Full Chicken Run Sponsorship and the two $3,000 Chicken Run Partnerships represent alternative ways to fully fund the same project. If the Full Sponsorship is secured, the Partner opportunities will close. If a Chicken Run Partnership is secured first, the exclusive Full Sponsorship will no longer be available.
Funding Transparency & Tax Information
Heritage Hen Collective is a privately operated educational and stewardship program and is not a charitable 501c3 organization. Contributions made directly to Heritage Hen Collective are not tax-deductible charitable donations.
We are committed to responsible stewardship of every contribution received. Funds designated for a specific restoration, preservation, sponsorship, or improvement project will be used for that purpose. If a project becomes fully funded, is modified, or cannot be completed as originally planned, remaining funds may be applied to closely related preservation, maintenance, educational, or operational improvements that support the reactivation and presevation of the historic chicken coop and associated Heritage Hen Collective facilities.
We believe transparency builds trust and will provide updates on funded projects and improvements whenever possible.
