Shared Stewardship.
Shared Harvest
Collaborative care, connection, and respect for the land and the animals entrusted to us.
Our Mission
The Heritage Hen Collective brings people together through education, shared stewardship, and responsible small-scale poultry care rooted in heritage values. We provide thoughtfully designed, community-based opportunities for meaningful agricultural engagement, built on a model of shared responsibility and shared harvest. At Trimborn Farm, this mission takes shape through the reactivation of the historic chicken coop as a space for collaborative care, connection, and respect for the land and the animals entrusted to us.
Join the Collective
Becoming part of the Heritage Hen Collective means participating in a thoughtfully designed, community-based model of heritage-rooted hen care. Each membership level supports shared stewardship of the flock and helps sustain education, responsible care, and the long-term vitality of the program.
Whether you wish to care for hens directly, sponsor the work, or simply support the mission,
there is a place for you in the Collective.

Flock Stewards are the foundation of the Collective. As the primary caretakers of the flock, Stewards sustain the daily rhythms of feeding, cleaning, seasonal upkeep, and responsible hen care that make the Collective possible. Together, Stewards share responsibility for caring for the flock and welcoming the community, and receive eggs through a pooled system.
Stewardship offers the opportunity to slow down, observe the natural rhythms of the flock, and participate in a shared agricultural experience grounded in heritage values. It is both a responsibility and a privilege — one that cultivates meaningful connection to the land, the animals, and the community around us.
Sponsor
Being a Collective Sponsor means playing a vital role in sustaining the heritage-rooted mission of the Collective.
Sponsors are foundational partners who help ensure the flock is responsibly cared for, the coop is thoughtfully maintained, and community-centered programming continues to thrive.
Their ongoing support strengthens every aspect of the Collective’s operations and long-term stewardship.
While Sponsors do not participate in flock duties, their contribution directly supports the systems, resources, and values that make shared hen stewardship possible.
Being a Collective Supporter means believing in the mission and helping it grow.
Supporters contribute at an accessible monthly level to help sustain heritage-rooted hen care, cooperative stewardship, and community-centered programming.
While Supporters do not participate in flock duties, their contribution helps ensure the Collective remains thoughtfully managed and financially stable.
